Bold & Beautiful: The New Wave of Maximalist Design in San Francisco

San Francisco is shedding its minimalist tech skin and embracing a vibrant renaissance of maximalist interior design. This curated collection highlights properties that champion bold textures, clashing patterns, and rich color palettes, defining the city's new aesthetic identity. Leading the charge is the San Francisco Proper Hotel in the Mid-Market district, a masterpiece by Kelly Wearstler that sets the tone for eclectic luxury. Moving into the bustling SoMa and Union Square neighborhoods, hotels like Hotel Zetta and Hotel Zeppelin are redefining urban stays with rebellious art and sophisticated chaos. Whether it is the theatrical interiors of The Clancy or the literary-inspired maximalism of Hotel Emblem, these venues offer an immersive sensory experience far beyond a place to sleep.
