The details that matter
Nestled in the southern Serengeti, within the Moru Kopjes region, Serengeti Pioneer Camp offers an unparalleled gateway to witness the annual Great Migration. Its prime location affords breathtaking vistas of the Moru Kopjes, Lake Magadi, and the boundless savanna. Each of the 12 tents spans approximately 38 square meters, with one expansive family tent featuring two interconnecting rooms, covering around 75 square meters.
Witness the Great Migration: From January to March each year, the East African Great Migration traverses this region, coinciding with the calving season. Guests have ample opportunities for full-day game drives to behold this world spectacle.
Exclusive Picnic Spots: The camp boasts its own private picnic sites, where guests can savor a meal atop a hill, enveloped by the stunning wilderness. Moru Kopjes: This area presents a chance to track black rhinos, with a visitor center for the rhino conservation project. It is also home to the 'singing stones' – the Rock Gong.
Lake Magadi: This seasonal lake is a vibrant habitat for a multitude of flamingos.
Signature Experiences: Game drives in 4x4 vehicles; private bush picnics; sundowner cocktails by the pool; campfire dinners; and child-friendly activities.
