Situated in the strategic Clemenceau district, the Gefinor Rotana functions less like a hotel and more like a high-functioning diplomatic outpost. It stands at the precise friction point between the intellectual grit of Hamra and the glossy, yacht-filled vanity of Zaitunay Bay. Celebrating its Quarter Jubilee (25 years) in 2025, the property wears its age with a dignified, if occasionally tired, patina—expect some scuffed velvet in the lobby and carpets that have seen a few too many delegations. However, the infrastructure of hospitality here is bulletproof. The rooms, particularly the Club Rotana suites, offer Dyson-level climate control (a godsend in Beirut’s humidity) and balconies that actually open to the Mediterranean breeze.
