5-star hotel
Port Ferdinand Yacht & Beach Club Residences
If you’ve ever felt that traditional beachfront resorts lack a certain aquatic gravitas, Port Ferdinand provides the corrective. This isn’t just a hotel; it’s a fortified marina community where 82 residences—starting at a palatial 2,500 square feet—stare down the bows of multi-million dollar yachts. The design is rigorously high-end, featuring coral stone walls and marble floors that feel cool underfoot after a day in the Bajan sun. The central 'Pool Island' is the architectural showpiece, an infinity-edged lagoon that feels entirely separate from the mainland. Dining at Dockside at 13°/59° is a serious affair; order the spiced seafood soup with okra and don't skip the rum pairings. While the man-made beach inside the marina is calm, it lacks the Atlantic's raw energy—but the tradeoff is hermetic security and privacy that appeals to the UHNWI crowd. Service can be famously gatekept (security is tight), but once you're in, the staff at the Sandbox Tree Spa will scrub you down with Bamford products until you forget the outside world exists.
